Subarctic terrain, swamps, muskeg, and other sensitive areas are only a few of the harsh landscapes found in Western Canada that can pose challenges for industrial projects. If your next project requires reliable access to reach a remote worksite, you need to ensure your matting is up to the challenge. Inferior access mats can lead to equipment damage, environmental destruction (and costly remediation!), and even safety hazards for your workers in the field. Conversely, robust and dependable access matting adds value to every project by ensuring fast, safe transportation of materials, workers, and equipment.
Vortex Energy Services proudly offers strong, safe and reliable access matting for Western Canadian industry. Available for sale or rental, Vortex access mats are engineered and manufactured to provide superior performance, even on the most challenging Western Canadian terrain. Read on to learn more about how Vortex access mats offer outstanding performance, as well as our complete range of solutions and services for Western Canadian industrial projects.
Performance-Engineered Access Matting
Vortex 3-ply access matting is designed and manufactured in the heart of Peace Country, AB, using the highest quality materials available today. Our mats are built using either 3-ply Douglas fir or our premium fibre blend (fir, pine, and spruce), allowing us to provide a complete range of access solutions for every technical or budget requirement.
All Vortex access mats are manufactured using compression technology for a true gapless top and middle layer. Solid layers maximize shear strength and loading capacity while giving noxious weeds and other contaminants nowhere to hide. Meanwhile, a gapped bottom layer ensures maximum stability even on the most challenging terrain Western Canada has to offer.
Vortex matting also features a unique 192-bolt pattern, the most bolts used by any major matting supplier. Combined with compression construction, the 192-bolt design makes Vortex matting some of the strongest and most durable in the industry today. Finally, all Vortex mats feature routered outside edges to minimize wear and tear in transportation, installation, and use.
