Vortex 3-ply access mats are constructed in our facility in the heart of Peace Country, AB, using the highest quality materials during construction. Our mats are made from 3-ply Douglas fir or our premium fibre blend (fir, pine, and spruce), allowing us to provide solutions for every worksite, load requirement, and budget.
Our 3-ply access mats feature solid top and middle plies with a gapped bottom. The solid layers offer maximum shear strength and loading capacity, while giving noxious weeds and other contaminants nowhere to hide. Meanwhile, the gapped bottom layer ensures our access mats remain safe and secure, even on the most challenging terrain Western Canada has to offer.
All Vortex access mats are manufactured using cutting-edge compression technology and a unique 192-bolt pattern (the most of any major matting supplier). The compression ensures there is no space for contaminants to creep in, while the 192-bolt pattern makes Vortex mats some of the strongest and most durable in the industry today. All Vortex mats also feature routered outside edges to minimize wear and tear in transportation, installation, and use.
