Vortex 3-ply access mats are designed and manufactured in the heart of Peace Country, AB, using the highest quality available today. Our mats are constructed using either 3-ply Douglas fir or our premium fibre blend (fir, pine, and spruce), allowing us to provide value-adding access solutions that meet every technical and budget requirement.
All Vortex access mats are manufactured under compression technology, resulting in a true gapless top and middle layer. These solid layers provide maximum shear strength and loading capacity while giving noxious weeds and other contaminants nowhere to hide. A gapped bottom layer ensures maximum strength and stability, even on the most challenging terrain Western Canada has to offer.
Vortex mats also feature a unique 192-bolt pattern, the most bolts used by any major matting supplier. Combined with compression construction, the 192-bolt pattern makes Vortex mats some of the strongest and most durable in the industry today. Finally, all Vortex mats feature routered outside edges to minimize wear and tear in transportation, installation, and use.
